If I were to be hired by Baruch College in order to bring improvement using new media; I would definitely give a few implementations a try. For starters, I think that Baruch College overall should have a bigger social media presence. It should utilize some of the common platforms and create spaces for students to connect with one another and with the school itself. Socializing is an important matter, improving that is crucial. Another way Baruch experience could be improved would be if some teachers themselves would use platforms like YouTube, in or outside of class, possibly presenting extra information themselves or referencing to someone else who is sharing some idea on the topic matter. I can see that from my personal experience, teachers who use some social media or online resources while teaching, tend to get more attention, possibly, influencing more students. Also giving the students a way to rewatch the lecture or the review for upcoming midterm, can really help them understand more and get better scores.
